IMPALED NAZARENE 'Taking Time Off'

Finnish extreme metallers IMPALED NAZARENE have issued the following update:

"After the successful spring/summer/fall gigs of 2008 around the world, the band is now taking some time off from full activity. This simply means composing new material for the somewhere-in-future-to-be-released next album, taking care of other (earthly) businesses and charging of the 'armageddon batteries' overall. We've been planning to start the next album recordings around the spring/summertime of 2009, but we have also decided to not to be in any kind of hurry with that matter. It's a totally 'when we feel like' situation at the moment. There might be some one-off gigs done here and there during the wintertime, but more of those later. So the answer to the question (at our website) 'are we dead' (referring to the long web-silence) is: 'You wish...'"

IMPALED NAZARENE's new album, "Manifest", was released on October 24, 2007 in Finland (licensed to Spinefarm Records) and October 26 in rest of Europe (Osmose Productions). The CD was recorded and mixed at Sonic Pump studio by Tapio Pennanen, and was mastered at Finnvox studio by Mika Jussila. The cover artwork and layout was handlded by Ritual. The album was made available in the following formats: jewel case, digipack (limited to 5,000 copies) and double 10" vinyl (limited to 500 copies).

The band previously stated about the new CD, "This album is definitely the most varied one since 'Suomi Finland Perkele'. Even more than said 'Suomi Finland Perkele'. We have slow shit, fast shit, rocking shit. Shit that will kick your ass. Some surprises for sure. Lyrically, in case you did not guess, this one deals with all possible bullshit we have faced during the last couple of years. You got it, wrath falls upon lots of people. Well, let me rephrase this. Wrath falls upon all sub-humans. You know who you are, choke on bratwurst you pathetic cock-suxxors!!!"
